You know the more I think about it....

We probably would have been better off without the civil war.... sure there would have been slavery for a little longer, but in the big picture it would have went away anyways from global pressure. And then we wouldn't have to put up with the bible belt voters and people in NY, San Francisco, LA, Chicago, Boston, all the real major cities in the United Northern States of America (we'd keep the territories, it probably wouldn't be hard to defend) could live our lives without this bullshit.
